VOLUME ONE - CHAPTER 27
I clothed
you with salvation and covered you with righteousness that you speak unto
all that are wise hearted, filling them with the spirit of wisdom. And I
sanctify, anoint, and consecrate you that you minister unto me in the priest's
office, for your anointing is surely an everlasting priesthood. This is
the portion of the anointing, by a statute for ever, you are the priest
of the most high God. Walk before me anointed forever, and eat and drink
with great gladness, you art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.
Build the temple of the LORD, bear the glory, and sit and rule upon the
throne.
Appoint priests, according to the order as the duty of every day requires,
concerning any matter, or concerning the treasurers. Appoint the course
of every man according to his service in the cities, in their set office,
to give to their brethren, to the great as to the small. Restore them
and require nothing of them. And gather together all the people; all that
separate to the house of God, that they bring the firstfruits and the
tithes.
And appoint over the chambers for the treasures, for the offerings, and
for the tithes, to gather into them out of the cities. That they give
after their ability unto the treasure, and that which they have need of
let it be given them day by day without fail. Set the priests in their
divisions, and in their courses, for the service of God.
Also I certify you, that touching any of the priests or ministers of this
house of God, it shall not be lawful to impose toll, tribute, or custom,
upon them, they minister unto me in the priest's office. And you shall
appoint and they shall wait on their priest's office and they shall serve.
I have given your priest's office unto you as a service of the gift.
